MagmaDot Setup Guide

Everything you need to get the MagmaDot Autobot imported into NinjaTrader 8 and configured for automated trading.

1. Importing into NinjaTrader 8

Once you've downloaded the MagmaDot `.zip` file from the VIP portal, you'll need to import it directly into NinjaTrader 8 as a NinjaScript Add-On.

  1. Open your NinjaTrader 8 Control Center.
  2. Click on Tools in the top menu bar, then navigate to Import.
  3. Select NinjaScript Add-On...
  4. Locate the MagmaDot.zip file you downloaded and click Open.
  5. Wait for the success message confirming the indicator has been successfully imported.

2. Applying the Strategy & Templates

Once imported, you need to apply the strategy to your chart. MagmaDot uses `.xml` templates to load optimized settings.

Activation Steps

  1. Open a new chart for your desired asset (e.g., NQ or ES).
  2. Right-click the chart background and select Strategies.
  3. Find MagmaDot in the list of available strategies and double-click it to add it to the configured section.
  4. At the bottom right, click template, then load, and select the desired MagmaDot `.xml` template you downloaded from the VIP Telegram group.
  5. Ensure the strategy is enabled (checkbox) and click OK.

3. Recommended Workspace

For the best execution and cleanest signals, we highly suggest using the following core setup in NinjaTrader 8:

  • Assets: Major US Indices (NQ, ES, YM)
  • Chart Type: Custom Renko or Heikin-Ashi (as specified by your loaded template)
  • Data Feed: A reliable tick data feed (e.g., Kinetick) is highly recommended for accurate momentum calculations.
  • Community Templates: Always test new `.xml` templates from the VIP Telegram group in Sim mode before going live.
